Client looking for Zanzibar which is a Tanzanian archipelago off the coast of East Africa. It is in the Indian Ocean and consists of many small islands and two large ones. Zanzibar faces electricity supply challenges, including reliance on a single 132kV undersea cable from mainland Tanzania, leading to frequent power outages and voltage drops, especially during peak demand. The existing infrastructure is outdated, and the islands electricitydemand is growing rapidly, potentially exceeding the cables capacity.

Our company has verbally agreed with the Zanzibar Government working towards a more stable and reliable electricity supply by focusing on renewable energy sources and expanding infrastructure, aiming to achieve energy independence and improve connectivity.



Currently, Zanzibar has a need for reliable electricity of 250 MW up to 450MW,Generated via Natural Gas or Solar Powers.
