This rarely seen 1968 Porsche 911 Soft-Window Targa is a highly original example, finished in Ivory with black interior. It remains unrestored and has been patiently awaiting cosmetic and mechanical recommissioning. Currently fitted with a 1977 911S engine, the car has been off the road for several years and is not running at present.



At its debut in 1963, the Porsche 911 was offered only as a coupe. The Targa variant, introduced in 1967, changed everything. Offering a removable top panel, brushed stainless roll-over hoop, and a foldable plastic rear window. This unique configuration gave drivers the weather protection of a coupe with the open-air feel of a convertible, all while retaining safety and rigidity. Porsche later introduced a fixed glass Targa in 1969, making the soft-window available only by special order through 1971.
